Castles and Cathedrals is a new tour for 2027, located in the heart of Durham at the Delta Hotels Durham Royal County, this tour has visits to the stunning Raby Castle, Raby castle is one the most intact castles in the North East built in the 14th Century by the Nevill Family, it was also the scene of the plotting of the Rising of the North and a Parliamentary stronghold during the Civil War. Ushaw offers history that is intwined with the Christian Faith in the UK, its history starts in 635AD when St Aidan founds the monastery on Lindisfarne and progresses until today. A guided tour of Durham & the Cathedral is also included as is entry to the Cathedral Museum, giving an insight into this iconic building.
